More grind-wise title benefits are stupid.

It's ideas like this that make baby Jesus cry!
Won't somebody please think of baby Jesus!??!
PLEASE!??!?
The idea itself is just bad beyond words. What we need is the titles returning back to just being an additional option in customizing your character.
ANY in game effects because of them - just bad bad bad!

/notsigned. Anything that you do in this game that's doesn't benefit other people is useless to me. If your title ability benefited a group and not a player, I'd be more inclined to think it was cool.

wouldn't mind it, but then we'd see more lazy people crying about how they "have" to grind for titles. Don't matter to me, all those titles are already maxed, and none of it was a grind, at least for me.

2. The benefit from getting plot-related grind titles maxed it's always linked to skills. In this case, the only change that could come is a title effect for Sunspear and separating the title effect from the bounties in kurzick. And maybe some skills more in lightbringer. But just that. Skills.
3. The benefits from getting pure grind titles increased vary:
- Lucky: Affects lockpicks. It could have another effect (the one that would correspond to unlucky)
- Unlucky: It's a side-effect title, so it's part of the lucky title and should have no benefits. Any extra benefit meant to this title should go to the lucky title instead.
- Wisdom: Affects salvages.
- Treasure hunter: Affects salvages and lockpicks. It should count also Treasures, Hidden treasures and reward chests like Dungeon chests or the HoH chest; but the benefits are just fine, and they are a lot.
So, there's only 3 titles left: Drunkard, Party Animal and Sweet Tooth.
What benefit could be for them?
I can see only one:
- Increased effect of the consumables they count.
*For consumables with a duration, 10% duration increase in rank 1 and 100% in rank 2 (double duration).
*For 'instant' consumables (like those that remove DP), 10% effect increase in rank 1 and 33% in rank 2. That way, in rank 1 something that gives 5% morale boost would give 5% anyways, and something that removes 15% DP would remove 16%, and in rank 2, something that gives 5% would give 6%, and something that removes 15% would remove 20%.
Those are the only ones left.

/notsigned. I can understand the OP's argument, but the above quoted condensed much of it, and it makes more sense for only pve skills to increase with race rank title grind. I also support the remaining titles having a purpose as listed in above quote.
The only grind required in GuildWars off the top of my head is Factions and Nightfall, where you must be a certain rank before being allowed to progress any further in the storyline. New pve skills based on race rank grind are always welcome; you are not required to grind them, it is an option.

Ah, and of course, EotN consumables and consumables that do not count for a title are out of the question.
Only those that increase those titles would count, like Drunk status or Sweets rushes.
